Newton second law of motion is dramatically connected with the first law of motion. To understand it better let’s review the second law of motion. Newton second law o motion state that “Net force applied is equal to mass multiplied by acceleration”. In equation it is F(net) = ma. The third law of motion we all have heard about and even many memes are made on it. The third law of motion states that “every action has an equal and opposite reaction”. The truth is the normal force is always perpendicular to whatever surface your object is resting on. The net force will remain zero and the gravitational pull was acting like before. Here the counteracting upward force comes from the rope acting on the box, in what we call the tension force. Most of the question paper will assume that the rope has no mass and are completely unbreakable to make simpler examples.
